What is it about a deployment that drives people to the gym? I think it’s probably part boredom, part stress relief, but every time my husband is deployed, he goes all out with a workout routine and his co-workers are often right there with him. Between the popularity of working out while deployed and the military’s fitness requirements, fitness care packages could easily be part of every deployment.
Luckily for you (and your service member), there are a lot of designs perfect for fitness care packages! You can make them as funny (or punny) as you’d like and really tailor the colors and wording to your loved one and your relationship. You can then add many little essentials that any gym going person would need, like protein powders and a tennis elbow compression sleeve for lifting and other heavy-on-the-arm exercises, and then your fitness care package is all ready.
Fitness Care Packages
I love this one, especially the muscle arm! Plus this design adds in a play on words and you know I can’t resist that. It would be very simple to recreate, but is so much fun! You could pick any paper color your loved one likes for the background and text which personalizes it.
This design is very popular among fitness care packages and would be a great box for the fitness and superhero combination enthusiast. Using a combination of green and purple paper, you could easily recreate this look! Or if you wanted to mix it up, you could also put the text on three flaps and a cutout Hulk on the fourth flap.
Here’s another example of a completely customizable design for fitness care packages: changing out the paper and text colors makes this box unique to your loved one. You can decorate with workout-themed clipart or stickers from the craft store.
I’m a bit partial to this one because it’s one of my own designs, but I love the “drop it like a squat” pun theme of this care package. There’s an added sassy message on the bottom of the box; this is something you could add to the design of any fitness care package. The bright blue paper can even brighten a day filled with lots of sore muscles. You can get this design pre-decorated and ready to attach to your box right here.
Another play on words makes this design playful. Incorporating elements like the barbell and flexing arm definitely gets the theme across, but my favorite touch is the “muscles loading…” progress bar. I think it adds a little humor, which is one of my favorite parts of any care package.
There are so many workout styles out there, just like there are so many themes for fitness care packages. As you choose a theme, consider what kinds of workouts your loved one enjoys, favorite colors and what may make them laugh. You can’t go wrong if it’s personalized and thoughtful!
