Food puns and care packages are one of my favorite combinations. They go together like peanut butter and jelly…or macaroni and cheese…or milk and cookies! In addition to helping you decorate the box, a food pun can also give you ideas for what to put in a care package. And there’s really a pun for just about anyone’s favorite food, including bacon! Keep reading for ideas for your bacon care package.
Decorating a bacon care package
Luckily, the bacon-loving world has expanded to all types of things, included craft supplies. You can find all kind of bacon-printed items, including paper to line the inside of your box and wrap all of your items! Craft stores will likely have a few bacon sticker options, but you can always shop online for really specialized items. I love Scrapbook.com for unique paper needs (this is not an ad…I really do love them!)
- Don’t go bacon my heart.
- What’s shakin’ bacon?
- I’m achin’ for your bacon
- Missing you is bacon me crazy
- We go together like bacon and eggs
- I won’t go bacon your heart.
- You’re the bacon to my eggs
- I love you more than bacon
- Love is in the air…nope, that’s bacon
Care package contents
Just like with decorating supplies, there are a lot of care package contents that will satisfy even the biggest bacon fan! Everything from snacks to clothing to lip balm comes with a bacon-y twist. I really love the idea of sending the bacon bits for your loved one to add to (possibly bland) food in order to make it more appealing.
My suggestion with any care package, but especially one that’s heavily themed, use caution when picking items to send. Bacon lip balm may seem fun, but if your loved one will hate it, why send it? Those boxer shorts are cute to you, but will your loved one be embarrassed to wear them in front of other people?
No matter what you send in your bacon care package,
