Happy hump day, ladies! I had a huge work event last weekend so I cannot wait for some much needed R&R this weekend. I did take a brief break from work to snap a few pictures of my most recent Stitch Fix to share with you all!
Like I mentioned last month, I’m being super critical of my Fixes in order to cut some extra spending, but still enjoy a little treat every now and then. That means that even though I loved a lot of the pieces from this month’s Fix, I did not keep nearly as many as I would have in the past.
Item #1: Adrianna Papell Arlyne Ponte Dress. Oh boy. Ok so this dress: gorgeous color, a material I love and it’s a modest style perfect for the office. So it’s an obvious keeper, right? Wrong. I tried this one on and felt sad immediately. I looked the first lady of a very unhappy country. The ponte material (which normally fits me perfectly) was way too stiff and ended up sticking straight out over my hips in the most unflattering way possible. I couldn’t send this back fast enough.
Item #2: Dear John Finnegan Printed Cuffed Short. Oh my gosh, these were so stinking cute and much more Rachel-friendly than my shorts from last month. I kept these and have loved wearing them now that the weather is warmer!
Item #3: Gorjana Tanner Stone Drawstring Bracelet. This bracelet is a perfect example of something I would keep if it gave me the “purchase all 5” discount, but since I wasn’t going to keep everything, I sent this one back.
Item #4: Nine West Onlee Pointed Toe Flats. I was so excited to get my first pair of Stitch Fix shoes that I tried really hard to justify keeping them. But the super light fabric and pointy toes just weren’t my cup of tea, so I made the choice to send them back.
Item #5: Papermoon Magguie Lasercut Detail Blouse. Oh I was so close to keeping this top! The color was gorgeous and I loved the material, but it fell into the same boat as my shirt from last month: too short in the front. I’ve sort of regretted sending it back ever since.
