Getting My Next Fashion Fix: Stitch Fix Recap #13

Happy Monday, blog peeps! I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend full of gorgeous weather and fall activities.  Mine involved slightly more rain than I’d hoped, but this week is a super short one and then A and I are headed on vacation! Woo hoo!

As I got closer to A’s homecoming, I started request a few new fun looks from my Stitch Fix in order to update my date night wardrobe a tad. So when I got my most recent box, expectations were definitely high.

Sadly, this is probably the second time that I ended up with a Fix that was more “meh” than marvelous.

Item #1: 41Hawthorn Teegan Draped Blazer.  This is one item that totally met and exceeded my expectations. While it wasn’t really a fun date night item, this blazer will get a lot of wear! I loved the fit and the style. The draping keeps it from feeling super traditional and makes it a little more youthful.  Plus it has snaps to pull the sleeves up! Love!

Item #2: Market & Spruce Sam Hi-Lo Short Sleeve Tee. This was my other keep from this Fix. This shirt is very simple, but that’s the beauty of it. It’s so versatile that I can wear it with a lot of things and the hi-lo hem makes it perfect for pairing with fall leggings.  Plus, it’s made of the absolute softest material ever.

Item #3: Octavia Beau Fringe Infinity Scarf.  Here’s where my Fix started to take a bit of a wrong turn. I love me an infinity scarf, but this one was just all wrong. The colors, the fringe, the length…no thank you.

Item #4: Pixley Luisa Printed Pencil Skirt. Normally the Pixley pieces are some of my favorites, but I just couldn’t love this skirt. The length was very awkward on me: I’m just under 5’4″ and it fell about mid-calve, making my legs look about 2 inches long.  Plus, the pattern was not my favorite. However, the fabric was great and very stretchy.

Item #5: Sweet Rain Birke Gathered Back Detail Blouse. I wanted to like this shirt so badly! I loved the color and the style was really cute, but the fit was not great. I struggle with sleeveless tops a lot because the arm holes are often far too large for my frame, making them really only wearable with a sweater which is not really the point of a sleeveless top.  This was a perfect example of that conundrum.

I offered a lot of feedback on this Fix, so fingers crossed I love everything in my next box.  If you like any of these looks, make sure to try out Stitch Fix. If you click the links in this post, I’ll get a referral credit which will totally help me find the perfect date night outfit!
