Happy Wednesday all! We’re halfway to the weekend and I’m back to share A’s most recent care package, so it’s a good day all the way around.
Even though we weren’t going to be together, I still wanted A to have something to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. In the past, I’ve given A a scrapbook of all our adventures from the previous year, but I didn’t want to send a large scrapbook to him, especially one that I may not get back in the same condition. So instead of creating one for the past year, I compiled one of the past three years, pulling together 36 of my favorite photos to make him smile.
I cropped them all down to squares so they would be uniform and printed them as a 4×6 via Shutterfly. After cutting off the excess paper, I wrote a little note about each photo and tapped it onto the back. Some were snarky, some were sweet and some were just plain silly. I punched a whole in the corner and then put all the “pages” onto a binder ring, creating the perfect little mini scrapbook.
I decorated the rest of the box very simply, knowing that the oomph came from the mini scrapbook and the ridiculously good contents.
Things I included in this box:
- Gatorade chews
- Trail mix
- Peanut butter
- Popcorn snack
- Mac and cheese (we ate gourmet mac and cheese on our first date)
- Comedy DVD (the $5 bin at Wal-Mart is a great place)
- Anniversary scrapbook
