Wedding Wednesday: Newlywed Portraits

Full confession: I totally look forward to Wednesday every week.  Partly because it’s all downhill until the weekend and partly because I get to share some of my favorite wedding photos and memories all while totally drooling over other people’s pictures!

After our ceremony, which I shared here last week, A and I (along with our very understanding wedding party) braved the chilly temperatures to capture some pretty fantastic photos. Well to be fair, AJ and Kyle did all the capturing, we just stood there and tried not to look ridiculous.  And surprise, surprise! We didn’t look ridiculous! In fact, we looked awesome and I get all smiley each time I flip through our newlywed portraits.

What? No, that one on the left is totally not another picture of the back of my dress. I don’t know why you would say that! The photo on the right is our first official photo as husband and wife and it makes me ridiculously happy.

I was really glad that I added in a navy blue pashmina for some of our portraits for a variety of reasons.
1) It was cold.
2) It added another color to our photos and really tied in our color scheme.
3) It looks awesome in the pictures.
4) IT WAS SO COLD.

Pretty sure this is when A was blowing in my ear. And not in a romantic kind of way. In a “here is all the contents of my lungs” kind of way. He’s a keeper. #restofmylife

The one on the right is another one of my favorites. We have an engagement photo in almost this exact same pose and I think I may frame them together for our collage wall.

We almost forgot to get a photo in front of the house, but I’m glad we did. We were close enough to the road to hear the cars honk at us as they went by, which is probably what we’re laughing at here.

Last, but certainly not least, here’s the photo that I used for our thank you cards, which have totally already been sent out! We have a bunch of different poses with that sign, but this one was our hands down favorite.  So far, our family and friends have loved them!

Coming up next week: loads and loads of reception details.
