My Top 5 Guilty Pleasures

Happy Monday! I thoroughly enjoyed my three day weekend, especially having Friday all to myself.  I got some housekeeping work done (hooray for finally starting to change my name!), but I may have indulged myself a little with a few guilty pleasures.  Ok so I indulged myself a lot.

Since the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem, I thought I would share a few of my guilty pleasures with you today. Consider this a full confession.

Guilty pleasure #1: the $1 section at Target. I am a list maker and so when I go shopping, I bring a list. You know what’s never on my list for Target? The $1 section. Any of it. And what do I come out of Target with? The $1 section. All of it.

They get you because it’s right there as you walk in and everything is only $1 and then suddenly you have 10 baskets full of notepads and cute little decor items and oh.my.gosh. what time is it?

Guilty pleasure #2: chocolate. It’s no secret that I have a sweet tooth (hello blog title), but I think my favorite sweet flavor is chocolate. Dark, semisweet, milk…it doesn’t really matter to me.  I’ll eat it all in just about any form.  It’s the perfect companion to my next guilty pleasure.

Guilty pleasure #3: Trashy reality TV. I am what you would consider to be a “good girl” so there is something inherently fascinating about watching other people make really questionable decisions.  The entire Bachelor franchise is a staple in my trashy TV arsenal.  Add in some chocolate and a sprinkling of MTV classics like Real World and you have my evenings when A is away.

Guilty pleasure #4: Instagram.  I’ll admit I was reluctant to get on the Instagram bandwagon. But now? I am an Instagram posting fool and I love just browsing through other people’s posts.  Cute dogs, adorable babies, gorgeous food-what else does a girl need? Plus, everything looks better with a fancy filter.

Guilty pleasure #5: yoga pants.  I am fairly confident that yoga pants are the greatest invention since sliced bread.  I wear them as often as possible and rarely to actually do yoga.  I view them as fancy sweatpants and often wonder if I could wear them to the office without getting strange looks.

Do you have any guilty pleasures? What are they?
