Wedding Wednesday: The Flowers

Happy Wedding Wednesday everyone! I loved sharing my colors last week and am very excited to talk about flowers this week! I can honestly say that flowers were never super high on my wedding priority list.  I knew I wanted pretty ones, but I decided early on that the floral budget needed to be as small as possible in order for me to have other things I really wanted.

Mother of the bride to the rescue! My mom rocked and, with the help of my grandmother, put together all of the bridesmaids’ bouquets and table arrangements with flowers we ordered from a local grocery store. I am not sure you’d be able to tell they weren’t done professionally!

We used lots and lots of baby’s breath and white hydrangeas to get the big, full look I wanted without breaking the bank.

I loved how delicate the bridesmaids’ bouquets looked with all white flowers, especially against their navy dresses.  The simplicity of the flowers kept the focus on the people involved!

We ordered my bouquet from a florist because tulips aren’t in season in November and I had my heart set on having my favorite flower in the wedding somehow.

I could not have been happier with the way it turned out! They were exactly the right color and looked really good against my dress. I chose to keep the stems partially exposed for a more natural look and loved the little touch of green in photos.

What’s your favorite wedding flower?
